I'm Cristiano Nilsen — over 20 years building and operating critical infrastructure; since 2019, on AWS. I work with multi-account architecture, Kubernetes, security, observability and automation — and I share that experience through my own labs, technical write-ups and personal projects. I also apply AIOps: AI as a support layer for cloud operations, with reliable context, guardrails and decisions that stay human.

AREA OF PRACTICE
Architecture, operation and evolution of business-critical cloud platforms. I share that experience through my own labs, automation and AI applied to operations, published on GitHub.
Architectures, challenges and technical decisions based on real experience building, evolving and operating cloud platforms.
Architecture, evolution and operation of a Kubernetes platform with 24x7 SaaS operations across multiple regions.
Centralized governance, federated identity and automation in a multi-account environment.
AWS network architecture in a multi-account environment, segmentation, private connectivity and traffic cost optimization.
Automated, versioned AWS WAF management integrated into the engineering workflow for protecting high-traffic SaaS platform entry points.
Application-layer WAF with ModSecurity and OWASP Core Rule Set, based on anomaly scoring and parameterized rollout.
Preventive, detective and operational controls integrated with cloud engineering in a multi-account AWS environment.
Multi-tool observability, log pipelines and cost optimization across a SaaS platform with 24x7 operations.
AI as an engineering accelerator for investigation, documentation and automation in cloud engineering — always with human technical validation.
Building reusable infrastructure context to guide operational and security investigations with AI, democratizing knowledge across teams.
More than two decades in IT. Over 20 years in infrastructure, cloud and AWS since 2019.
From traditional infrastructure to operating SaaS platforms with multi-account environments, centralized governance and containerized workloads on Amazon EKS. The work is not about tools — it is about architecture that sustains real operations.
Architecture and evolution of a SaaS platform across complex AWS environments.
AWS WAF, IAM, GuardDuty, Inspector, Config and network controls integrated with architecture and operations.
Terraform, CI/CD, federated identity and versioned infrastructure for traceable change.
Grafana, Loki, Datadog, Instana and CloudWatch, with log pipelines using Data Firehose, S3 and Athena.
Independent projects and labs demonstrate how I apply AWS-grounded architecture principles to other providers and emerging engineering practices. This work is intentionally separated from professional experience.
View projects on GitHubArchitecture, networking, security and automation with Terraform and CI/CD practices.
Hands-on exploration of transferable foundations across EKS, AKS, GKE and OKE.
Exploring and building self-service infrastructure, golden paths and Developer Experience concepts by combining cloud, Kubernetes, IaC and CI/CD.
Monitoring, telemetry analysis, log pipelines and data-driven investigation.
Hands-on generative AI projects applied to documentation, automation and cloud operations. AI accelerates analysis and execution; technical decisions stay human — with controlled context, traceability and guardrails.
AI assistant for analyzing, comparing and consolidating documents, with versioned prompts, source-traceable responses and human review before any decision.
AI workflow to accelerate operational investigations: receives alerts or requests, queries runbooks and technical context, generates a structured diagnosis and routes actions for human validation.
A career built from infrastructure fundamentals to technical leadership across business-critical cloud platforms.
Architecture, implementation and evolution of cloud, infrastructure, networking, identity, security and digital presence.
